The measure is full of waivers, however, that allow the U.S. Secretary of State to exempt Pakistan from some of the conditions. Some Pakistani publications have mentioned "the bill is far less prescriptive and stringent in its language than the original version" and "the language related to nuclear proliferation is markedly toned down," as American lawmakers struggled to make the package palatable to Pakistani officials.

http://rawstory.com/2009/10/triple-aid-pakistan-officials-worry-haven-taliban/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13437119.post-10975634371696596462009-10-17T14:51:34.184+05:302009-10-17T14:51:34.184+05:30Politicians are mere faces of public, its public w...Politicians are mere faces of public, its public who needs to show clear stand. how many of us really wants to turn Pak in hell? 2%-5% that sit, or take China on? or become worlds most powerful country? The problem is we have no (specially in villages and grass root) aspirations and often guided for our interest by somebody else. we need to find our interest to be firm on them.gupshupnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13437119.post-54258406794213721182009-10-13T02:52:50.979+05:302009-10-13T02:52:50.979+05:30The softpedalling by the Indian Government is a tr...The softpedalling by the Indian Government is a trademark of foreign policy. They are never strict with any Country, leave alone Pak or US. This had been the case right from the day of our independance, and continues to this day. As long as our politicians and bureaucrats, do not have our national interests in mind, when it comes to dealing with another nation, we are doomed as a nation, and everyone will take us granted.Gopinathnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13437119.post-8324050037978076082009-10-12T22:33:36.545+05:302009-10-12T22:33:36.545+05:30Why haven't we stepped up the rhetoric against...Why haven't we stepped up the rhetoric against the ISI?
